Beyond The Lens: Content Creation

Overview

Beyond The Lens is a creative networking event designed to bring local photographers, videographers, and artists together to collaborate and char about relevant topics in the communications industry. The event featured industry presentations, hands-on camera equipment and snacks and beverages, to create an engaging and inspiring environment for Winnipeg creatives.

I supported the event’s promotional strategy by creating short-form video content designed to build anticipation, increase awareness about the event, and drive attendance.

Objective

The objective was to increase awareness and drive ticket sales. 

Approach

I worked alongside Amanda Fiebelkorn (The Social Manor) and Jamie McLeod to create short-form teaser videos that were posted on Instagram. We wanted to create a sense of "FOMO" with these videos, and create social hype. We collaborated with RETROFÊTE, Don's Photos, local DJS and food stores to increase our audience and have a well-rounded event. 

Impact

The event sold out! Creatives showed up, connections were made, and proved our digital promotion to be effective.
